Note: This plant currently grown as B. acetosa is really U254. This plant was brought back from Brazil in 1946 by Mulford B. Foster, Begonian, 8:61, 1946. The plant was mis-named as B. acetosa by Dr. L. Smith but was later named U254 by J. Golding, Begonian, 56:229, 1989.
